Comme pour tout distributeur automatique, l&#8217;utilisateur peut choisir parmi une liste de produits, ici les \u00e9motions du monde pr\u00e9sent\u00e9es sous la forme de cartes dynamiques r\u00e9actualis\u00e9es en temps r\u00e9el \u00e0 partir des donn\u00e9es du Web. S\u00e9lectionnant, par exemple &#8220;scared&#8221;, &#8220;ecstatic&#8221;, et &#8220;terrified&#8221;, l&#8217;utilisateur obtient un cocktail musical. La carte r\u00e9sultante, le mixage d&#8217;\u00e9motions affich\u00e9 en temps r\u00e9el, est lue comme une partition qu\u2019en interpr\u00e9tant, la machine s\u2019efforce de d\u00e9chiffrer. Comme pour la boisson, l&#8217;utilisateur peut ensuite brancher sur la machine sa clef USB, son lecteur MP3, et r\u00e9cup\u00e9rer telle la boisson avec un gobelet, le morceau d&#8217;\u00e9motions remix\u00e9es. Il pourra au pr\u00e9alable \u00e9couter le r\u00e9sultat depuis les hauts parleurs de la machine.
