L’Art dans la peau (Artyfiction) is an online narrative work by Maurice Benayoun. Conceived as an “arty fiction” — a hybrid form situated between documentary and fiction — the project unfolds through a series of unstaged photographic snapshots taken during the sk-interface exhibition, presented at FACT Liverpool and Casino in Luxembourg, curated by Jens Hauser. Rather than constructing a scripted story, Benayoun, presenting World Skin in the same show, improvises a narrative from real moments captured in the presence of some of the most significant figures in bioart and body art, including Stelarc, ORLAN, Wim Delvoye, Eduardo Kac, Oron Catts, and others. The result is a work that dissolves the boundary between lived experience and artistic invention, using the exhibition itself as both subject and stage.
