Ars Electronica 2020, Planetary Wine Tasting Party
Part of the Ars Electronica 2020, Hong Kong Garden, this Hong Kong event is supported by osagė@osage
– Live streaming event on Zoom and Youtube –
13 September 2020, Sun
A specially invited group of artists, scholars, curators, and engineers will come together at Osage Gallery with their favorite wine for a friendly remote-sensory experience. Following a 45min of Ars Electronica-led Expert tour of Gardens at Moscow, Lviv and Hong Kong, the event ran as a casual mingling where the participants shared their experience with the virtual audience that joined the gathering via their own screens and microphones. Many international actors of the new media art community joined us in the comfort of their own place with a glass of wine. Everyone could join the LIVE event via Zoom to have a drink with “the locals”. Videos and artworks from the Hong Kong Garden program were displayed on the walls, and the whole event was recorded in 360 video to become part of the interactive version of Hong Kong Escape Views, the project present by Maurice Benayoun as a part of Art Machines, Past, Present show coming November in the Indra and Harry Banga Gallery, City University of Hong Kong.
A unique experiment on global sociality in times of relative seclusion. Here is the full editing of the event including the “Expert Tour” (Moscow, Lviv, Hong Kong)… With an amazing lineup, locally: Jeffrey Shaw, Derrick de Kerckhove, Richard Allen, Yuk Hui, and many SCM, CityU artists and faculty, Agnes Lin, our host, and online: Lev Manovich, Maria Grazia Mattei, Anne-Marie Duguet, Dooeun Choi, Machiko Kusahara, Everardo Reyes, Klein Tobias, Harald Kraemer, Tim Murray, Renate Ferro, Manuella Hillmann, Olga Vad, Helena Nikonole, Bohdan Shumylovych, Karina Smigla Bobinski, Enno Hyttrek, Violaine Boutet de Monvel… and so many others fascinating people that stay for most of them up to 3 hours.
