Eric Montoya is an American prominent contemporary artist, graduated from Seattle Art Academy. He had more than 50 personal exhibitions all around the United States. This piece of art, Wisteria, perfectly created an image of a gorgeous lady by the smart integration of the leaves, flowers and the sky. Giving people a sense of shock by vision, it also offers people a feeling of silence and peace. This is only one of the pieces under the Gallery « Perennial Beauty ». He is good at creating different elegant gesture of women by using the nature ingredients like the colorful plants, little animals and the blue sky. It makes the art work a sense of nature which audience will feel comfortable when looking at them.

In Eric Montoya’s work, he tends to blend the boundaries between man and nature. It pushes the boundaries from superficial beauty to the inner personalities (Anima) turned toward the individual’s unconscious desire and the tenuous position of confronting that desire. The series then deals with the Animus of « nature » as viewed through seasons, elements and stages of life.

Nowadays, women usually have heavy makeup and their mindset towards beauty changed diversely. Many pretty girls are mold under different kinds of plastic surgery and no longer nature. This series of art work from Eric Montoya is profundity because it looks like a landscape planting however, when you focus on each of them, you can see every art work has its own unique gesture of a pretty lady. Eric Montoya’s art work reminds us one important idea that, nature is beauty.
