LoSiNg SeA

The installation will have three parts : the building, the island, the sea.
The buildings will be formed by gold coins and which is building shape .
The coins will be piled one by one to form a tall coin column which used to represent building.
Using coin to represent building mean there are occupied by the rich,and there are no any space for the poor.
Plastic used to form a base of the island and use faked grasses to cover the surface to make an island.
On the island where will have some poor houses which have been blocked by the coins, so that they can’t have any view they can see.
I will use the real water to represent the sea .but we need to use plastic to circle the area.
idea
I find that in once walking around the alley which is next to the sea,and I saw so many residence block my eye and I can’t see the sea view at all .I also see there are many site which is developing ,so I do think this crazy developing will make us to lose our coastline and it may become building line. And this phenomenon developing continuously will encircle the poor in the mainland who won’t know about or never see the sea. moreover I also find that not only the develop of residence ,it is also a modern shopping mall next to the coastal .the economic developing is also help to occupy the coastline.
Using the building to be the barrier between the island and sea which to present the losing sea and the fast developing residence. Such these residence make us, not include the rich, can’t enjoy the sea view, so that it seems losing. The rich always occupy the coastal and have their own building, however the poor is no chance to see the view which is belong to public. I think that is totally unfair of this phenomenon. The rich can occupy the public sea view selfishly and block all of the view selfishly.
After I find this phenomenon, I may have an installation with barrier of building between the island and the sea. I hope it will show how serious of this developing problem, it really make the public lose their freedom, and our society will be dominant by the rich.
