Google Hacking, on line and installation

I found again this project lost on my computer. Coming from Google, thousands of pictures of people found with the keyword “ME”.

“Love ME” prints them one after the other.

“Kill ME” erases it from the hard drive.

On the web site, visitors can vote if “ME” (“I”?) should be killed or loved, erased or printed out. The visitor actually ends their virtuality or actualises it.

Art Beat (2)

Evolution of Art Beat

Another way to materialise the synchronisation of participants’ metabolism is to activate a magnetic field and make it visible like Sabrina Raaf’s ferrofluid sculptures.

Art Beat 2

Art Beat

So many interactive works are using signals coming from inside as a meaningful/meaningless source of image and sound effects. Let’s try another collective experience!

Art Beat

People are seated in circle around a big subwoofer speaker a finger plugged inside a heart beat detector. The combined rhythms of the 7 participants should, when synchronised, make the light ball float in the middle of the space by the pressure of air propelled by the speaker. Amazing how we can drive our inside body more or less consciously.

The line in-between ideas

Enregistré dans : note, theorie, artist's career, questions — moben @ 21:52

If it is not possible to patent ideas, it is because so many people could have the same idea at the same time.

The two things that could make the difference are either: to materialise the ideas, or: the special line linking one’s ideas from the first to the last one.
Something like the line on finger prints.

Listen, I’m here!

Enregistré dans : interactive installation, Net, light, sound and music, installation — moben @ 20:22

At the very centre of the white box, a dot of light, floating.
The intersection of 2 laser beams.

I'm here!

A continuous sound made of thousands of voices coming from real time or pre-recorded phone conversions. Something close to white noise but different enough to make the audience feel the origin of the sound.
When visitors cut one of the beams, the sound stops.

I'm here! now

Everything happens as if the contact of the two beams would make the whole communication process possible.

DUMP Mag

Good concept art needs good concept critics.

We need a magazine for critic and promotion of concept art. It has to be printed (should concept critic stay digital?).
Everybody is invited to write articles about projects/works from the Dump and the Open Dump.

Dump Mag

Contemporary art teaches us that the curator is actually the artist, the collector the historian, and the critics: the conceptors. When we see how a piece art can be nicely dressed by a good critic, whatever the work, we understand that contemporary criticism is reversed conceptualisation. The impact on artist is so big that we should respect the value of this not so new fundamental component of creation.

Off Screen, 45° left

Enregistré dans : photography, artist's career, not sure — moben @ 12:01

45° Left

A panorama is a 360° vision around the viewer point. This assumes that the global view around brings more meaning that the 60° view of an ordinary photo camera.

At the opposite, the framing of the plain 60° photo camera is also a cut out in reality, assembling elements on the same surface, excluding elements out of frame.

What is the peculiar truth of this exclusion?

Why not decide, whatever I want to shoot, to frame 45° left instead of the original picture I planed to do?
