Please recall your memories of the current situation about the rainforest all over the world. We know that they are facing damaged problem. Why people need plenty of wood or plants? For a reason is that people make use of plants for air purification and improve our health.
In many cases, people prefer living in forest or villages because of fresh air and comfortable view. However, not many people have chances to do so because their work.
For this reason, why don’t we just create a man-made forest on wall?
My artwork isa installation which I call it “cures forest”.

Title: “Unlock your voice” – art of voice
Format: moving installation
Nowadays, most of people are used to typing words through technological divides like “Whatsapp” and Facebook instead of speak face to face. It might cause more and more misunderstandings since words cannot explain things completely.
To enhance the advantages of sound, an installation about art of voice is appeared. Through use sound to create pictures, I hope that can encourage people speak more and more, as well as to build up a better relationship with the others.

It is known that human may have different emotions in particular moment and situations. Emotion is actually the most controversial topic in psychology. It encompasses a broad range of feelings, behavior and changes in body and mind. According to some psychologist, the primary or main emotions can be classified into 6 categories: happy, excited, tender, scared, angry and sad. Anyway, I believe that the things we want are different when we have different emotions.

After we finish a basketball match, nothing will be left. Therefore through this art piece, I aim to mark down the life of basketball and give it a meaning. Nevertheless, I hope to remind people to do exercise.
To finish this piece, firstly, we will have to invite some basketball players to play matches with balls colored in paint. While they play the matches, the print of the ball will stick on the floor, and become marks. After the match, we invite those players to take the ball along, and keep playing with it along the road, to make more marks. Finally the road and the court will be surrounded with marks. And finally, we can generate all of the marks through a top view of the basketball court, removing the floor plan and link them all together and produce an art work full of lines–The Life of Basketball.

Teenagers love to gather with their friends and even at midnight, they will still make huge noise on the street. However, these acts are inconsiderate to residents living nearby and affect people get into sleep. So that this simulator is proposed to bring a message to the visitors that to be considerate, keep quiet at night and not to disturb others.
This device is an interactive device with an educational purpose, not only as an art project.
The device consists of four major parts. They are namely the voice collecting part, image collecting part, part that analyzing voice and the display part.
The overall procedure of the device would be like this. People would like to scream and make some other noise onto the voice collecting device, which the mic connected to the computer. At the same time, they can see their face on the projected image. Next, voice collected will be transmitted to computer and do analyzing work. The system should be able to distinguish noise and the voice of ‘shu’ which means to ask others to keep quiet. Finally, the projector will project a computer graphic. The computer graphic will be a picture of many residents, and they are doing their own things inside their flat.

Agree not agree
In my university Creative Media Centre, there are 4 lifts at the lobby. Each lift will let the people with different status to go inside, eg. Students, staffs and visitors, etc. Each lift will post a big touch panel. The touch panel is white in colour will have different comments on the University that are collected from some students. People can go into the lift and look about the comments of CMC. If they have another opinion but the opinion didn’t mentioned on the wall, they could use their fingers to write their opinion on the “paper”. If they agree the statement on the paper, they can imprint their hand with red “pigment” by selecting the colour on the statements. If they disagree that statement, just imprint the hand with black “pigment” on it to show their position. The comments and hand imprint will increase gradually on the “paper”. There will be a lot of appeal. At the end, we can see two colors on the statements. It can show the peoples’ opinion. It’s because everyone can see the opinion and requests of the students and staff.

The Earth is deeply polluted in these years. The nature can no more be lived by us or the national creatures. Let’s look at our sea, the marine world. There is no more blue and transparent water. What is nowadays water included? Most are oil, plastic, garbage and the other pollutant. Most of the areas are in brown and dark. Marine life is becoming less and less. Even it is not satisfy for human to dive, to discover the huge marine world.
As a result, I decide to create this artwork to help people discover the nature, marine world.
This is a virtual reality device, with 3 big screens and 3 camera to project and scan your body. Here is an example to briefly show how the computer process the artwork:

Do you like the colorful world? Have you played the bubbles in your childhood? It is my memory of my childhood. I would like to bring the happiness to all audiences.
I would like to refer the color gun in 2007, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBVsIf1XxZ8, Audiences can blow the membrane on the stick, just like playing the bubble. Then different color of bubbles will form on the screen. The bubbles on the screen can bump with other, creating different sound. Audiences also can have interaction with bubbles. They can crack the bubble the produce “pop” sound. Therefore the audience can play this installation like playing the musical instruments with a colorful picture on the screen.

Nowadays, people become less zealous towards others because of the advancement of science and technology. People mainly use smartphones or other IT products to contact with friends and strangers. The basic communication between people becomes lesser and lesser. Lesser facial expression and emotional feelings can be expressed through face-to-face. However, let’s think about our childhoods, when we were still a kid, we could chat and play with other kids happily even we didn’t know each other! Why people become more bashful to communicate with other people when they grow up? They should know that the easiest way to know others is by face-to-face communication, but not technology. The well development of IT products seems to be a big obstructor for people to understand this fact.

MEANING:
This artwork is going to let people understand why is global warming so harmful for the environment and also teach the children the importance of protecting our earth.
DESCRIPION:
This artwork mixed by the installation and new media. The player who wearing the specially made glasses and holding the IPAD will be placed in “NATURELAND” than start his adventure.
